Selatan News, Jakarta- The President of World Mediator Council – WMC, Sabela Gayo, Ph.D and Indonesia Dispute Board (DSI) call on ISRAEL and HAMAS to exercise restraint and encourage both parties to sit down together and return to the Negotiation Table in resolving the armed dispute between the two parties through MEDIATION.
WMC & DSI urge the MIDDLE EAST PEACE QUARTET which was formed based on the 1991 MADRID CONFERENCE, namely the UNITED NATIONS (UN), UNITED STATES, EUROPEAN UNION AND RUSSIA to immediately send an INTERNATIONAL MEDIATOR who will facilitate negotiations between the two parties in resolving their armed disputes.
Civilians (innocents) must be protected and given space to save themselves from armed attacks on both sides by implementing a limited ceasefire for humanitarian reasons.
